Alta X and Alta 8 flying Alexa Mini, RED or Sony Venice with cinema lenses, crewed by a pilot and a camera operator.
When it makes sense
When the aerial has to cut with the rest of the shoot: same sensor, same colour science, same lenses.
When the shot needs a long lens or a zoom, or an image the edit cannot tell apart from the main camera.
If speed and rigging time matter more, the Inspire 3 is often the better call. We will tell you before we quote.
Configurations
The Alta X lifts up to 15 kg, enough for a cinema camera with a zoom.

Planning
With a cinema camera, flight time is measured in minutes: 12 to 20 on the Alta X and 5 to 8 on the Alta 8, depending on the build.
So we plan batteries, takes and timings with production, to hit every take in the light the DoP needs.
